Position Available: Quality Assurance Engineer (Electronics)
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DoE + Bonus
Experience needed: We are looking for candidates with proven Quality Assurance experience in electronic engineering, ideally with a focus on electronic systems in development. You should have expertise in managing non-conformance, applying quality tools such as 8D and RCA, and driving process improvements. A solid understanding of the product lifecycle and a proactive approach to ensuring product reliability and customer satisfaction are key.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Product Assurance Equipment Engineering team, supporting a range of electronic equipment in development.
You'll play a key role within an established PA team embedded in Electronic Engineering, ensuring quality processes are upheld, reducing product non-conformance, supporting seamless equipment delivery, and driving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Equipment Quality planning documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Electronic Engineering BMS procedures
  • Plan and conduct Product Life Cycle reviews, managing actions as required
  • Oversee and manage Product Non-Conformance processes, including defect investigations, data analysis, and reporting
  • Identify and mitigate quality risks for in-house equipment, enhancing reliability and satisfaction
  • Support engineering process improvements and perform local audits, driving compliance and process efficiencies
  • Deliver quality-focused micro-training to enhance team awareness and skills

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, ideally within Electronic Engineering
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies such as 8D, RCA, and DMAIC
  • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, particularly in development phases
  • Proficiency in analytical tools, including Excel, SAP QM, and document management systems
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with the initiative to identify and implement enhancements
