Quality and Compliance Manager– Up to £40,000 DOE– Tonbridge, Kent

The Role

Do you have experience in Quality & Compliance management? Are you looking for a role where you can take full ownership of quality standards and drive continuous improvement? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are the leading provider of contract spray drying services, looking for an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to join our senior management team.

You will take ownership of our quality management systems, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations. You will work closely with production teams to maintain the highest standards and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take control of the company’s Quality & Compliance requirements.
  2. Oversee and maintain our ISO9001-2015 and HACCP systems.
  3. Monitor and maintain production and quality standards to the highest levels.
  4. Investigate all manufacturing incidents or non-conformances as they relate to the quality or integrity of the manufacturing process. Together with the Operations Manager, Senior Production Supervisor and Technical Manager identify root causes and implement the necessary corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  5. Take responsibility for the investigation of all customer complaints or incidents; identify root causes and corrective actions and provide report(s) back to the customers as appropriate.
  6. Maintain regular communications with Shop Floor personnel providing feedback on quality performance. Support and from time to time deliver the monthly briefings to plant personnel.
  7. Identify and manage Drytec’s suppliers’ quality assurance and verification procedures.
  8. Define and carry out audits on suppliers as required.
  9. Carry out regular internal audits & inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
  10. Lead in-house training with managers and employees regarding quality and compliance requirements.
  11. Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed and provide guidance to employees.

We are able to produce a wide range of products to exceptional quality and hygiene standards for volumes from a few Kgs to hundreds of Tonnes. We have tremendous experience in providing contract spray drying & tolling services to a wide range of industries excelling in the Chemical, Industrial and Food Industries including Flavours, Individual Ingredients, Pharmaceutical Excipients, Colours and Nutritional and Complex Chemical products.

The Person

  1. Experience in Management and Quality & Compliance is essential.
  2. Full understanding of ISO 9001-2015, Kosher and Halal and GMP.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal.
  4. Strong Problem-Solving Skills.
  5. Understanding and experience of laboratory analysis would be desirable.
