An established industry player is seeking a Project Officer for a 6-month temporary role in Central Manchester. This hybrid position offers the chance to contribute to a national organisation, focusing on project management and development. Your new role
Project Officer Temporary 6 months minimum. Hybrid/ minimum 2 days a week – MCR City Centre hours per week - £16 per hour plus holiday pay. This is a great opportunity to make a difference to a national organisation. Reporting to the organisation, lead in learning and course development, you will be an experienced project assistant – experienced in designing, delivering, supporting and managing projects.
With excellent levels of written and verbal skills, you will be required to collaborate with organisation-wide stakeholders and able to conduct research/ gather data to support project initiatives and encourage good decision-making practices.
You will be experienced at creating timelines, milestones and deliverables to contribute to effective project planning. Using your experience, you will be able to lead in the scheduling of meetings, conference calls and project-related events and assist in the preparation for project presentations and reports for the project manager.
You will be dealing with communications (mail, electronic mail and telephone enquiries) with diplomacy, tact and discretion; drafting responses and taking other appropriate follow-up action as required. You will be an excellent communicator and able to communicate at all levels. This is a diverse and busy role which would suit a candidate who is flexible, able to hit the ground running and equally someone who will pitch in when required during peak times to support team members.
Excellent IT skills are required as you will be providing slick administrative support across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an experienced project officer/ project assistant. This is a very varied role. Therefore, you will be required to be both flexible and adaptable. The role is temporary and the working hours are per week.
Previous experience of not for profit and experience of working with a national organisation in various locations is essential along with a professional manner. Excellent communication skills and a polite and friendly approach are also essential.
