Purpose of Role:
This role will report directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager on all day-to-day production tasks – from ordering raw materials, launching production with suppliers, supplier visits as well as supporting with quality control and assisting in management of stock liability.
This position will work closely with all in-house teams as well as supplier partners.
The Production department are responsible for on time delivery of quality finished goods, whilst maintaining and improving weighted margin.
Core Responsibility (not limited to and may evolve and include more at times):
- Production Handover & PPS Fittings:Arrange production handover fits and PPS fittings, ensuring clear communication with internal design and development teams to maintain product quality and target costs.
- Factory CP Setup:Set up planning information for each manufacturer each season, including seasonal information, capacity planning, style allocations, price targets, and final dockets. Work closely with manufacturers and internal teams to launch the production season and manage each supplier's timeline.
- PPS Launch:Launch PPS with factories, ensure tech packs are updated and clear, and proactively manage troubleshooting during the PP stage. Ensure PPS are measured and evaluated ahead of fittings.
- Textile Data & Care Labels:Collect TDS from suppliers, verify final textile content and care instructions for each style, and order care labels for each vendor.
- Raw Material Ordering:Ensure timely seasonal ordering of raw materials and fabrics and manage raw material shipping to manufacturers.
- Cost Negotiations:Ensure all make prices are agreed and confirmed in a timely manner. Support cost negotiations and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve prices and margins.
- Delivery Schedule Management:Update the weekly delivery schedule with vendors, lead weekly VCs, and flag issues to the SSM for discussion and resolution.
- Inbound Logistics:Manage inbound logistics, arrange transit from vendors to the DC, raise ASNs, check invoices, and investigate discrepancies.
- Compliance & Documentation:Stay updated on international compliance and regulations, ensuring necessary processes and documentation are followed and records are kept.
- Vendor Performance Reports:Compile seasonal and annual vendor performance reports using delivery schedule data and seasonal VSC.
- Product Data Management:Liaise with PD and Wholesale teams to ensure product data and sales orders are correctly and promptly loaded onto Zedonk, and key dates are added to the delivery schedule under SSM guidance.
- Supplier Relationships:Develop and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners as the first point of contact. Oversee supplier relationships to ensure all suppliers meet and maintain delivery, quality, and margin expectations. Communicate with them regularly to clarify all priorities and technical details.
- Administrative Support:Perform general administrative functions to keep the department organized
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, working with luxury products across various categories.
- Strong understanding of production processes and critical path organization.
- Experience with Zedonk essential
- Knowledge of patterns, grading, lay plans, construction, and costings is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and handle heavy workloads effectively.
