Job description

PMA is a full service production company working with the world’s biggest movie studios and entertainment brands. We are a multidisciplinary team supplying a vast array of production services and producing creative content, video advertising and promos in many and varied formats for clients.

The Role

This is a full-time, mainly office-based role (in our Farringdon office), with the option for some flexible working.

As a key member of PMA’s production team, you will assist with all day-to-day production planning, such as booking crew, kit, travel, accommodation as well as sourcing suppliers. You will also be checking incoming invoices and tracking costs for specific jobs as they come in.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, show an appetite and aptitude for systems, communication, production budgets and teamwork. They would bring an eye for detail and enjoy being part of a team that is constantly striving to maintain high standards, pushing for efficiency and improvement.

Some knowledge of production finances/budgeting is preferred and you will be expected to become proficient in our bespoke finance system to assist senior team members in generating PO’s and invoices. Previous employment in production, promos or features is very much preferred and a keen interest in film and television output is desirable.

£32K + Depending on experience

Main duties to include:

  • Assisting multiple production teams and departments within the company
  • Booking freelance production crew
  • Booking camera, lighting and other production equipment for shoots
  • Working with producers and crew to finalise equipment lists
  • Arranging travel, accommodation, catering and other logistics
  • Assisting with and distribute call sheets, risk assessments and other production paperwork
  • Processing and tracking invoices and production costs
  • Liaising with clients, talent reps and other external stakeholders
  • Sourcing and booking locations
  • Working closely with Producers and Editors across post-production deadlines, delivery and billing

What attributes and experience are we looking for?

  • Highly organised
  • Able to work well under pressure and organise time effectively when the pressure’s off
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knowledge of tv/film/brand production workflow
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in management and tracking systems
  • Some experience and knowledge of production budgets, costs and finance systems
  • MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of Covid-19 best practices and industry protocol
  • Working knowledge of sets and industry terminology
  • Personable and confident when managing crew and liaising with clients
  • Time management, working across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with APA rates and protocols would be advantageous
