Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Probate Solicitor / Legal Executive to work in our clients Private Client department based in Teignmouth.

The Role:

Your focus will be the administration of estates. You will have a mix of taxable and non-taxable estates and will be capable of managing every element of the estate administration process effectively and independently.

You will be preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney as and when needed, although this will not be your main focus of work.

You will work under the partner leading the Estates Team as well as the partners in the broader Wealth Management Team. Supervision of more junior members of the Estates Team will form part of your responsibilities with the team.

Managing a mixed caseload, you will be able to delegate effectively.

For the role you will be:

• A motivated Solicitor who wants to progress.
• Able to work closely with team members and have a willingness to work as part of a team with the aim of achieving a common goal.
• Able to demonstrate instances in the past where you have been able to develop and maintain strong relations within their client base.
• A technically skilled Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive who, ideally, has already successfully achieved or is working towards a STEP Diploma qualification or equivalent.

Ideally, you will have 4+ years PQE in an estate administration role. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting or surpassing the financial targets set for you or for your wider team and a commercial approach to the work you carry out.
