Job Description

UNLEASH is seeking a bold, strategic, and high-energy PR & Communications Manager to own and elevate our brand's global visibility, reputation, and influence across our media and events business. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is for someone who thrives in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment, understands the speed of the news cycle, and can craft compelling narratives that position UNLEASH as a category leader in the Future of Work, HR, and AI.

This is a hands-on role that requires an operator who can both develop the strategy and execute at pace. You will work across media (news, editorial, and marketing services) and events (global conferences, tradeshows, and summits), ensuring that UNLEASH's voice is loud, clear, and influential in the Future of Work, HR, AI and worktech space.

Key Responsibilities

PR & Media Relations

• Develop and execute a global PR strategy to increase media visibility, thought leadership, and brand authority.
• Own and cultivate relationships with top-tier business, tech, and HR media outlets, securing high-impact coverage.
• Manage proactive and reactive press communications, ensuring UNLEASH is the go-to voice for industry trends and insights.
• Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and executive statements that position UNLEASH at the forefront of the conversation.
• Identify and capitalize on news cycles, ensuring our brand is visible, relevant, and influential in industry discussions.

Executive Communications & Thought Leadership

• Shape the CEO's and leadership team's external presence, developing high impact thought leadership content, speeches, and interviews.
• Secure speaking engagements and media interviews for the CEO and senior executives at top-tier industry events and conferences.
• Build executive LinkedIn and social media presence, amplifying key messages and positioning UNLEASH as a market leader.

Events, Conferences & Trade Shows

• Lead PR and media strategy for UNLEASH conferences and tradeshows, ensuring maximum media coverage and brand impact.
• Develop and execute a comms plan for major events, securing press attendance, partnerships, and media interviews.
• Manage press briefings and media rooms at events, ensuring key journalists and analysts are engaged.

Brand & Corporate Communications

• Own UNLEASH's brand narrative, ensuring consistency across all communications channels.
• Lead crisis communications, protecting and managing the brand's reputation during high-pressure situations.
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, and partnerships teams to ensure brand messaging is aligned, bold, and effective.

Content, Social & Digital Strategy

• Oversee the development of high-impact editorial and multimedia content that supports PR and communications goals.
• Drive engagement across owned and earned media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and industry blogs.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure PR-driven stories are leveraged across news, social, and event platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in PR, communications, or media, ideally within B2B, tech, media, or events industries.
• A killer media network - you know how to get coverage and have strong journalist relationships in the business, tech, and HR sectors.
• High-speed, high-stakes comms experience - you can react fast, handle crisis comms, and own the message under pressure.
• A proven track record of elevating brands through strategic PR, thought leadership, and high-impact storytelling.
• Exceptional writing and editorial skills - you craft messages that cut through noise and drive engagement.
• A newsroom mentality - you understand the media cycle, anticipate trends, and move at startup speed.
• Experience supporting C-level executives with PR, thought leadership, and public appearances.
• A global mindset, with experience driving international PR and comms strategies.
