Job Title: Port Health Technical Support Assistant
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: GBP28,296 to GBP30,930 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus 14% Shift Allowance
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Hours of work are based on a 24/7 shift pattern

About the Role:
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of statutory duties to safeguard public health. Conducting Official Controls, you will carry out checks on imports of products of animal origin and high-risk food not of animal origin to ensure that only products that are safe to eat enter the food chain. You will assist, under the supervision of relevant officers, in carrying out physical, identity, and documentary checks on imported food.
