Overview of the role
We are seeking to recruit an Interim Planning Enforcement Officer for a local authority in the Midlands. This position will report directly to the Principal Planning Officer.
Responsibilities and Duties
- To assist in the delivery of the planning enforcement service, in particular:
- Investigation of complaints and alleged breaches of planning control, to include site inspections, visits, undertaking observation and conducting interviews.
- Maintain full and accurate records of site visits and evidence collected. Giving advice to alleged offenders and complainants on planning and enforcement procedure, including progress on complaints in line with policies and protocols.
- Dealing with the discharges of conditions and monitoring implementation of development.
