This role would suit someone who is looking to join an organisation that can allow them to develop their career professionally while helping customers obtain loans in a quick and efficient manner. They are setting up a new operations office in Milton Keynes, their Head Office remaining in London, so this role will be based out of the new office. You would initially be working from home but once the operations office is opened you would be required to travel and work in there up to 4 days a week. The team currently work Mon-Fri on a shift pattern between 8 6pm.

Responsibilities:

1. Underwrite new business applications within mandate levels (no current mandate required), ensuring full compliance with FCA guidelines.
2. Provide professional and efficient service to all customers.
3. Review and verify income statements, tax returns and other financial documents to develop a borrower's profile and arrive at a credit recommendation.
4. Support inexperienced team members within the MK office.

Required skills and experience:

1. Experience in underwriting, ideally in a personal loan business environment.
2. Commitment to exceptional customer service.
3. Ability to cope under pressure and multi-task within a team.
4. Ability to work flexibly where the demands of the role require (including assisting with inbound calls of a complex nature).
5. Experience in fraud prevention techniques and/or worked in a fraud/investigations department.

You will be expected to be able to travel to London for the first week or so for training (expenses paid) but training will also be provided on-site.
