World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract.
Key experience includes:
Monday to Friday core hours 9.00am - 4.00pm but there is some flexibility on this (Full time could accommodate 2 days working from home).
Also open to part time would have to be 3 days minimum.
Hourly Rate: £40.00ph (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (initially and then very much long-term thereafter).
Occupational Health Advisor Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and forward-thinking in-house OH team. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of an efficient, effective, and high-quality OH service.
Applicants will need the full remit of OH skills including case management, health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, and travel health awareness. As part of our wellbeing offering, we also carry out wellness assessments within our team which will require phlebotomy skills.
The role requires strong communication skills to work collaboratively with HR, Line Managers, and our Health & Safety colleagues. The role is mainly site-based due to the nature of the work, with some flexibility to occasionally work dynamically from home. The role may require occasional travel to other sites to ensure consistency of service.
The Role:
Hours considered: Full time / Part time
The applicant must be an NMC Registered General Nurse and preferably an NMC Registered Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner (SCPHN) with qualification (part 3) and possess a broad range of occupational health nursing experience.
Evidence of appropriate training and career progression is required.
The role will involve:
Delivering a proactive face-to-face technical function involving health surveillance, health pre-employment assessments, fitness assessments, lifestyle screening, and health & wellbeing campaigns.
