Network Design Engineer

Location: Basingstoke (On-site, occasional travel required)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Must be eligible for High-Level Security Clearance

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Designing high-quality network solutions, producing structured documentation, and ensuring seamless implementation.
2. Creating high-level and low-level design artefacts to meet customer requirements.
3. Automating network configurations and software deployments where possible.
4. Providing 4th Line Support, liaising directly with vendors to ensure successful issue resolution.
5. Contributing to the development and maintenance of secure infrastructure solutions.

What We're Looking For:

1. Strong experience in network solution design and documentation.
2. Deep knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols.
3. Expertise in NAT, GRE Tunnelling, DMVPN, Subnetting & Supernetting.
4. Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching appliances.
5. Experience in impact assessments and working on secure infrastructure.
6. Ability to automate network deployment and configuration.
7. Advantageous experience with Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA, and McAfee MFE.
8. Candidates must be eligible to undergo and obtain high-level security clearance.
