What You’ll Do:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  1. Work closely with students in small groups or 1:1 settings, guiding them through their educational and personal development.
  2. Support students in engaging with hands-on vocational programs, from animal care to construction projects.
  3. Be a positive role model, helping students overcome challenges and celebrate their achievements.
  4. Collaborate with a dedicated team of teachers and specialists to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
About You:

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who bring:

  2. A patient, adaptable and empathetic approach to supporting students.
  3. Great teamwork and communication skills to work effectively across the college.
  4. A willingness to embrace creative and practical learning experiences.
Ideal Backgrounds:

If you’ve worked in nurseries, colleges, youth clubs, or residential care, or have personal experience supporting individuals with SEND, we’d love to hear from you! Graduates in sociology, psychology, music, art, or education are especially encouraged to apply.

Why Join This College?
  1. A Serene and Supportive Environment: Nestled in Radstock’s scenic “Happy Valley,” the college provides a peaceful setting for students and staff to thrive.
  2. Diverse Learning Opportunities: From engineering workshops to animal care programs, you’ll help students gain real-world skills.

  4. Potential for Growth: Enjoy professional development opportunities and the chance to secure a permanent role.
Additional Information:
  1. Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  2. Pay: £83.40 per day, based on experience
  3. Contract: Initially temporary, with potential for a permanent role
