We currently have a part-time vacancy of 29 hours, working over 4 days. You will need to be flexible and be able to work mornings and afternoon shifts, between 7.30am and 6.30pm. You may also be required to provide cover for sickness and holidays at short notice.
We are looking for an intelligent, self-motivated person with a sunny disposition to join our busy well-organised team. Previous experience preferred but not essential. A knowledge of EMIS Web will be a great advantage. The applicant must be computer literate, possess good communication, verbal and written skills. Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential at all times. The applicant would be based in reception dealing with patients and their queries, answering the telephone, inputting data, and other general reception duties. The position can be very demanding and fast-paced at times, so an ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly and easily and to prioritise workload are essential. Common sense and a good sense of humour are essential. You will be required to attend training courses and practice meetings.
North Shore Surgery is a modern, forward-thinking training practice based in the north of Blackpool. We have 5 GPs, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 7 skilled Practice Nurses, as well as HCAs and Practice Pharmacists.
We also benefit from being part of the North Primary Care Network, sharing care co-ordinators, first contact practitioners, pharmacists, social prescribers, GP Assistants, and a Digital Lead.
