Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Services
Worcestershire Royal Hospital
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (on-call rota included)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and inspecting mechanical building services to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Ideal for a proactive professional with experience in healthcare or similar environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planned Maintenance: Carry out routine checks and servicing of mechanical systems.
2. Repairs & Fault Finding: Diagnose and fix breakdowns quickly and safely.
3. Installations & Upgrades: Assist with system improvements and minor modifications.
4. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all regulations and use appropriate PPE.
5. Teamwork & Customer Service: Work collaboratively to minimize disruption.
6. On-Call Support: Participate in the emergency response rota as needed.

What We're Looking For

1. Experience: Mechanical maintenance background (healthcare preferred).
2. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Services or equivalent.
3. Skills: Knowledge of DHW, LPHW, CHW, ventilation, pipefitting, and steam systems.
4. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and improve system efficiency.
5. Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
