An excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join a global engineering company at an exciting time of expansion. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will play a key role in designing and developing products that meet customer needs with a focus on continuous improvement.

The Role:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into innovative, manufacturable product designs.
Use CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
Continuously evaluate and optimise designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability and efficiency while maintaining product integrity.
Work in collaboration with Senior Design Engineers to identify and select appropriate materials for the manufacturing process, considering costs and performance factors.
Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet design specifications and industry standards.
Create comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, design reports and other relevant documentation.

The Person:

A degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering
3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience using SolidWorks
