This role focuses on delivering exceptional building services designs with an emphasis on net zero carbon transition. Join a rapidly growing firm that values innovative thinking and provides a flexible working environment. You'll work with a dynamic team, contribute to significant projects, and enjoy a competitive salary along with comprehensive benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive culture. If you are passionate about engineering excellence and sustainability, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Your new company
We are recruiting on behalf of an innovative and rapidly expanding technical asset management consultancy that specialises in making existing buildings sustainable. The company helps landlords and property managers map risk, plan for, and transition portfolios of buildings to net zero carbon as cost-effectively as possible. They achieve this through a unique approach that combines building services engineering with dynamic simulation modelling, energy engineering, and proprietary data analysis software. The company works with blue-chip investment funds and property companies, supporting the management of over 1 million m² of predominantly commercial real estate assets. With a head office in Shrewsbury, they offer a positive hybrid working environment where employees work flexibly and travel across the UK to visit buildings.
Your new role
As part of their continuing growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Senior Building Services Design Engineer with a strong mechanical bias. You will be responsible for delivering building services designs for refurbishment projects, with an emphasis on net zero carbon transition. This role also offers the opportunity to innovate on existing industry processes and help shape the company's unique software to support this. The successful candidate will have experience in the design of HVAC systems and a good general working knowledge of building services within the commercial property sector. Ideally, candidates will be members of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) with three to five years post-qualification experience.
