Maths Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to support KS3 students at a client secondary school based in central Manchester, starting in April. The successful candidate will be working closely with the school's talented teaching staff to support students in Years 7-9.

The school is based in the heart of Manchester, is very accessible for candidates using public transport, being a short walk from the nearest bus/tram stops. There is also a large onsite car park that staff members can utilize.

The successful applicant can expect to receive up to £99 per day, depending on experience. The school also provides professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance with maths
2. Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities to small groups of students
3. Mark and feedback students' work, providing constructive comments to aid their understanding
4. Support students with their homework and revision, both individually and in small groups
5. Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to ensure the smooth running of the departments

Requirements:

1. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Tutor in a secondary school setting
2. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Maths at Key Stage 3 level
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Enthusiasm and passion for supporting students in their learning
