Havas Media have also recently launched CSA - a global consultancy, data science and analytics brand. This role sits under the CSA brand in Havas Media Networks Data and Analytics (DNA) team.
THE TEAM:
Our CSA team is at the core of the Havas Media proposition, providing marketing analytics, data science & engineering, consumer insight and Martech consultancy. Working closely together with our account teams, the CSA team's capabilities are pivotal to Havas Media Group's ability to strategically advise our clients. Our work allows clients to understand their customers, plan and optimise their marketing investments, effectively leverage their first and third-party data sets and grow their brands.
Within the Havas and Analytics team, our data modellers work across Marketing Mix Modelling, Experimentation, Digital Attribution, TV Attribution, Incrementality Experimentation and across our Agent Based Modelling solution. We are continually looking for new and innovative ways to measure effectiveness and are developing new products. As a Google Transformation Partner, we get first-hand experience on new tools and techniques in the field of Advanced Analytics, Data Science/ML.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced modeller with at least 2 years of marketing mix modelling experience with an ability to code who can join our well-established and award-winning team. We're looking for someone keen to take the next step and take the lead role managing clients and projects, confidently delivering out of scope projects supporting growth in the team and agency.
You will work very closely with our Data Analytics, Data Science & Engineering Teams, wider CSA team, and our global Centre of Excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present analysis to wider stakeholders including clients and colleagues within the agency with confidence
- Hands-on stakeholder management to ensure that internal and external teams extract maximum value from our solutions
- Be familiar with coding to streamline work processes, and have the ability to develop and deliver new product solutions using programming languages
- Successfully work with and manage our Centre of Excellence teams to deliver best-in-class econometric solutions on-time and to the agreed scope-of-work
- Collaborate with the Directors and wider team to push forward our media measurement agenda
- Make use of our bespoke modelling software, and champion its further development and usage across the Havas group
- Be a champion for data-driven decision making throughout Havas
- You will help to develop new data science products and solutions to improve agency workflows or bring in new revenue streams
- Assist in project leading for multiple revenue-generating econometric modelling solutions
KEY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:REQUIRED:- Minimum of two years' hands-on experience in econometric modelling
- Strong data storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and engaging manner
- Client-focused approach, ensuring results are delivered with maximum impact on business outcomes
- Deep understanding of econometric modelling theory and methodology
- Balanced approach to model building, combining statistical robustness with practical client requirements
- Creative problem-solving skills, overcoming challenges such as unique sector characteristics or limited data availability
- Meticulous approach to data collection and cleansing, with proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools
- Experience developing and implementing scenario-planning solutions based on econometric models
- Strong organisational skills, managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and prioritising tasks effectively
- Lead analyst on econometric projects, responsible for data preparation, modelling, and overall project delivery
- Expertise in extracting, processing, and transforming diverse datasets
- Ensuring all modelling solutions are robust, insightful, and actionable
- Ability to create visually compelling and insightful presentations for effective information sharing
- Continuous learning and application of econometric theories, analytical techniques, and relevant tools
- Interpreting data to uncover and communicate key insights, both verbally and in writing
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, contributing to their training and development
- Collaborating with teams across Havas, identifying opportunities in data science (e.g. machine learning) and driving innovation in marketing effectiveness
- Staying up to date with industry developments, working alongside the Directors to enhance econometric offerings
- Contributing to the development of econometrics industry benchmarking solutions
DESIRED:- Modelling and data wrangling experience in Python/R/SQL/Eviews
- Experience with pitching analytics work - or a willingness to learn
- Experience handling large datasets using SQL/Big Query or learning to do so
- Experience in data analysis using non-standard regression methodologies (Bayesian, Cross-sectional) or non-regression approaches
- Experience working with the wider analytics team to develop end-to-end solutions to client challenges
- A wider perspective of how econometric modelling fits into the wider measurement eco-system
- A point of view on the marketplace of marketing mix modelling providers
- Familiar with industry topics and modelling solution partners i.e. Meridian, Robyn, Adobe etc
- An understanding of media agency data sets and challenges
- Exposure to GCP or Web Analytics
- Exposure in Data Viz tools (Power BI/Tableau/Data Studio)
- Educated at degree level or above ideally econometrics or statistics focused degrees
- Familiarity with a range of data sets and industry tools (e.g. Nielsen, YouGov, ONS, OECD, GfK etc)
