Marketing Executive/Social Media

My client, a luxury tour operator based in Surrey, is seeking a Marketing Executive to join them. They are looking for a proactive and dynamic team player, full of creative ideas, and with a can-do attitude. You must be happy to roll up your sleeves and thoroughly immerse yourself in this exciting role and help, when required, with all aspects of the business.
To create smart, compelling customer and travel trade focused digital marketing campaigns that support both strategic, tactical marketing and sales initiatives of the business.

Key Roles:

Websites
  1. Write compelling website content, including hotel, destination information and blog updates.
  2. Ensure the website content is up to date including offers.
  3. Maintain our booking engine with sign-ups and offers.
  4. With the existing marketing team, develop new content strategies focusing on defined segments of the travel marketplace to enhance user journey and increase SEO/search relevance.
  5. Use Google Analytics to better understand user journeys on our website and to help improve page performance.
  6. A knowledge of Umbraco CMS is an advantage but not necessary.
Social Media
  1. Take ownership of all social media channels.
  2. Develop, implement and maintain a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other relevant platforms for both direct and trade audiences.
  3. Support our Agents closed user groups on Facebook.
  4. Respond to messages and requests from all social channels.
  5. Create monthly activity reports for all social media platforms.
  6. Facebook Ads knowledge is an advantage.
Agency and Client Support
  1. Support the trade sales team with a variety of content.
  2. Distribute brochures, posters, fact sheets and digital assets to agent partners and direct clients.
  3. Create and distribute marketing offers.
  4. When necessary, create agent adverts.
  5. Create personalised offers for agent partners.
Email Marketing
  1. Work with the existing marketing team to develop, implement and manage email marketing campaigns.
  2. Write and configure engaging email campaigns for both trade and direct audiences.
  3. Monitor success of campaigns and make recommendations to improve.
  4. Control consumer and trade databases in line with GDPR regulations.
Copy Writing
  1. Write engaging copy for print advertising campaigns, trade sales team and agent partners.
Computer Skills Required
  1. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office products with greater attention on Word and Excel.
  2. Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage.
  3. An understanding of web CMS.
  • Office based in Surrey
  • Salary up to £30,000
