Manager, Integration & Change Services, Robotics Global Safety and Support

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will manage a team that works on system configurations, service integrations and testing of software deployed at Amazon Installations around the world which utilize our mobile robotics platform. You will drive Robotics fleet change management and software retrofit projects to improve the performance, reliability and safety of globally deployed robotic and automation systems. Working in close collaboration with Software, Retrofit, Hardware, and Deployment Engineers, you and your team will own integration and retrofit projects from strategic planning through execution and validation.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Work Sunday through Thursday 7 am - 4 pm UK time. Participate in a rotation of on-call managers during your working hours (and weekends as needed) for pre-live and live sites.
  2. Program manage personnel capacity and service delivery for launch, integration and change management schedules for small to large-scale (fleet-wide) projects, in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  3. Coach a worldwide team to adhere to specified SLAs and KPIs. Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements.
  4. Willing to roll your sleeves to recruit and train technicians.
  5. Manage stakeholder relationships with partner teams (TechDeploy, Program Mgmt Office, Software/Quality Engineering, Tech Support, Customer Success, etc.), and be a lead escalation point of contact.
  6. Oversee technical run-books and test plans that meet best practices for both New Product Introductions (NPIs) and General Availability (GA) products.
  7. Drive automation improvements with partner teams to streamline work delivery and execution.
  8. Provide weekly, monthly or quarterly reports on demand to senior leadership and project stakeholders.
  9. Lead teams to run network-wide configuration studies/pilots and write whitepapers to assess the efficacy of changes.

A day in the life
We are a global team of EU, Australia and US launch and change management engineers who support a vast network of robots across Amazon's fulfillment centers worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics or equivalent quantitative field.
  2. Experience managing teams in a QA, Engineering or Service Delivery function.
  3. Experience with Linux and AWS.
  4. Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results.
  5. Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
  6. Experience driving technological and process innovation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals.
  2. Experience with performance and stress testing methods and frameworks.
  3. AWS, PMP, Six-Sigma or relevant certifications.
