Management Accountant - 3 months (potential to be extended/ go permanent) - South Manchester - £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Axon Moore are proud to be exclusively partnered with a well-established, high growth distribution business based in South Manchester, who require an experienced Management Accountant for a 3 month period, with the potential to be extended/ go permanent. This role would be well suited to an inquisitive, detail-oriented, proactive individual who is QBE or studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA. This role is interviewing ASAP for immediate start!

MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS:

1. Prepare the management accounts for December 2024 including P&L, fully reconciled balance sheet, and cash flow statement;
2. Ongoing bookkeeping from January 2025, ensuring accurate records and managing the input of financial transactions, including:
1. Process purchase and sales invoices;
2. Daily reconciliation of the bank account;
3. Prepare payment runs;
4. Will be working with Sage 50 and Cin 7 warehouse management system (prior experience of WMS is not required);
5. Assistance with VAT return, tax compliance and statutory reporting;
6. Assist with preparation of FY25 budgets;
7. Provide recommendations on the improvement and streamlining of financial processes and controls.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or QBE
2. Proven experience of working in a retail management accounts function
3. Strong attention to detail
4. Able to work under pressure
5. Well organized, analytical and confident in relaying financial information
6. Eager to grow along with the finance function
7. Good management and leadership skills
8. Committed team player who can work effectively to tight deadlines
