Location: Coalville
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: 37.25 hours per week (Monday-Thursday, 8:45am - 5:15pm, Friday, 8:45am - 5:00pm)

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking to make a real impact within a family-run business? Our client, a well-established company in Coalville, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director.

About the Role
In this role, you will play a key part in preparing and managing financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and efficiency in all financial processes. You'll oversee financial controls, handle payroll, and drive improvements in financial reporting, all while supporting your colleagues in their absence. This position offers a blend of daily financial operations and strategic planning responsibilities, making it ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
2. Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes
3. Oversee and enhance internal controls
4. Manage an accurate costing system
5. Supervise payroll processes within the finance department
6. Ensure all policies and financial procedures are up-to-date and effective
7. Prepare and monitor cash flows, budgets, and financial plans
8. Assist the Group Financial Director with budget management
9. Manage treasury functions, including loan administration
10. Provide timely financial reports to the Board and Executive
11. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
12. Inspire and motivate teams to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and organizational goals

About You
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant with experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will bring:

1. Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
2. Proven experience with financial management and planning systems, with advanced skills in Excel
3. Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels
4. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and inspire team members
