As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be completing all reactive maintenance repairs on factory machinery, as well as making sure that all necessary procedures are followed.
You'll deliver an industry leading service for internal and external customers, which will see some of your responsibilities include making sure that our biomass boiler is cleaned weekly, ensuring all LEV equipment is working to maximum performance, and helping where required on goods inwards FLT driving.
You'll be repairing and maintaining hand tools, as well as liaising with external machinery specialists on repair, services and breakdowns.
You'll be conducting site inspections in line with local authority checks and permits, as well as regular checks on emergency lighting in line with our internal policies. You'll ensure that both internally and externally, the premises remain at a high standard.
Through compliance with all the necessary Health, Safety and Fire regulations, you'll help to reduce risks, and through managing the inventory of replacement parts, you'll help to minimalize machinery downtime and disruption.
Acting as a cooperative and supportive team member, you'll attend and deliver any meetings as requested which may include, Production, Lean, Health and Safety, and Members meetings.
Being part of the community is important to us, and you'll help promote our Coffin Factory within the local community, building good working relationships with 3rd parties as well as the strong working relationships you'll build with our colleagues.
We are looking for someone with machine maintenance knowledge, who has previous electrical experience and who can bring good problem-solving skills.
You'll need to be flexible in working time patterns as well as be able to demonstrate a willingness to train on all processes within our factory and undertake any external training if required.
Previous factory environment experience and knowledge is desirable, as is experience in TPM processes- although these are not essential.
Due to the nature of the role, you'll need to be comfortable working on your own.
