Job description

We are recruiting for a Legal Cashier for a well-known firm in Liverpool.

As Legal Cashier, you will support the transactional finance team, carrying out the following duties in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules and other regulations:

1. Posting treasury transactions
2. Posting client payments and receipts
3. Managing a large volume of bank accounts with daily bank reconciliations
4. Assisting other offices with related finance requests around client matter transactions and bill processing
5. Dealing with enquiries to support the wider finance team
6. Assisting with routine account maintenance
7. Processing disbursements and supporting with overaged items as and when required
8. Supporting with process improvements across finance

Ideally, you will have experience or be able to:

1. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast and accurate manner
2. Work independently as well as part of a team
3. Organise and prioritise duties effectively
4. Communicate well with stakeholders both inside and external to the firm
5. Ideally have worked in a Legal Cashier role, or in a finance role within a legal firm
6. SRA knowledge
