We are seeking a Junior Robotics/Mechatronics R&D Engineer to help us redefine the music industry. The company has invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost. We are working with the leading record labels, streaming services, digital service providers, distributors, and iconic global artists who are keen to partner with us to build a global solution for physical media. But most of all, we would also like to give small artists and artists at the beginning of their careers frictionless access to offer vinyl and CD to their fans via our innovative solution and planned production/fulfilment centres in Europe, USA and Asia.

The vinyl market has been growing on average more than 20% yearly over the last 16 years, and even CDs are growing for the first time in two decades. Over 30 million creators are releasing their music online today, and they are growing 30% a year. They represent the fastest-growing music segment. Most of them would like to have their music on vinyl or CD for their friends & family and especially their fans. elasticStage will provide them with easy and affordable access via its unique and scalable on-demand tech.

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Junior Robotics/Mechatronics R&D Engineer to join our dynamic R&D Engineering team. As a Junior Robotics/Mechatronics R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and implementation of robotic systems and applications. These systems will be used to streamline the production process, as well as new systems being prototyped and developed to solve complex challenges.

Requirements

1. Implement bespoke systems to automate manual processes.
2. Integrate new systems with existing machinery to streamline production processes.
3. Own projects from initial conceptualisation and prototyping, through to testing, commissioning, and handover.
4. Collaborate with senior engineers to design and prototype robotic systems and components.
5. Assist in the development of systems for robot control and automation.
6. Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues.
7. Develop hardware and software solutions to ensure seamless operation of robotic systems.
8. Document technical processes, test results, and system configurations.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree (2:1) in Robotics/Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum 1 year of experience (including internships, or relevant work experience) in robotics/mechatronics.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
4. Familiarity with robotics platforms and tools (e.g., ROS, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
5. Basic knowledge of electrical circuit theory.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing change.

Desirable:

1. Experience with 3D modeling and CAD software.
2. Experience working with PLC based systems.
3. Knowledge of sensing and perception systems (e.g., vision systems).
4. Understanding of embedded systems.
5. Hands-on experience with robotic hardware and mechanical design.
6. Hands-on experience integrating robotic hardware and software systems.

Work Location
