As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Junior Brand Manager to join us at our UK office in Launceston, Cornwall to support us to foster a deep connection with our collector community and consumers, ensuring that every interaction with Charlie Bears makes them feel valued and engaged.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Brand Manager located in Launceston, where some remote work is acceptable. The Junior Brand Manager will support brand promotion activities, assist in developing marketing campaigns, and manage both digital and traditional marketing efforts. Responsibilities also include coordinating with design, web and product teams, analysing market trends, and identifying opportunities for brand growth. The role will also involve maintaining brand consistency across all communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market & Consumer Research:
Conduct regular competitor analysis, tracking key competitor marketing activity, identifying key industry trends/intelligence and report findings to inform strategic marketing decisions.
Coordinate and support consumer focus groups, surveys, and research initiatives to gather actionable insights that drive targeted marketing strategies. - Brand Planning & Campaign Management:
Work with the Head of Global Marketing to develop and implement a global brand plan based on SMART goals and aligned to business aspiration, ensuring objectives are clear, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound, with progress tracked.
Lead the planning and execution of marketing activity for the Charlie Bears brand, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure activity is executed on time, within budget, and according to specifications across various marketing channels/regions.
Manage and execute global ECRM programmes via Dot Digital, that drive brand engagement and product sales. Tracking performance and presenting results to ensure alignment with business objectives. - Content Creation:
Develop creative briefs, in collaboration with the Graphic Design & Content Lead, to guide the creation of marketing assets, working with external suppliers to deliver final materials such as printed catalogues, point-of-sale displays, product packaging, experiential stands and more.
Write engaging and persuasive marketing copy that delivers consistent brand tone and messaging across all platforms and materials.
Support photo and video shoot management by coordinating logistics and provide on-set support. - Social Media Management:
Work with the Graphic Design & Content Lead, as well as creating your own engaging and compelling social media content, (e.g., images, GIFs, infographics, short-form video, etc.) that resonates with the target audience, supports campaign goals, adheres to brand guidelines and is suitable for the outlet.
Plan, schedule, and execute social media content across platforms using applications, such as Hootsuite, while executing paid media campaigns to drive engagement and measurable impact.
Review and analyse social media performance, providing detailed reports on metrics, trends, and insights to optimise future content and campaign strategies. - Local Marketing:
Manage local PR initiatives by responding to charity requests, coordinating community outreach, and ensuring Charlie Bears maintains a strong and positive presence in the local area.
Drive footfall to the Charlie Bears Gallery by developing interactive and experiential marketing strategies, enhancing the visitor experience through engaging events, and promotional campaigns to boost awareness and encourage repeat visits.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years proven experience in a marketing role, with a good understanding of marketing principles.
- Experience in managing effective global ECRM campaigns that deliver strong engagement and conversion rates on Dot Digital and Mailchimp.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, always adhering to deadlines.
- Exquisite communication and people skills that support you to collaborate and liaise cross functional and with external parties.
- Experience in content/campaign execution, for social media, with an understanding of trends, tools, and best practice including paid.
- Basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva to support content creation.
Desirable Skills:
- CIM qualified or a graduate of marketing.
- A creative, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and think outside the box, with great attention to detail.
- Familiarity with multimedia production, including creating assets for podcasts (audio/video).
