Our Global Pursuits Team provide world-class bid support for major pursuits worldwide. Collaborating with regional teams on a global scale, we focus on strategic client positioning, target growth sectors, and supporting our top 10 Key Client Accounts and Target Growth Accounts.
We are looking for someone with creative writing or marketing experience to join our global pursuits team as a junior bid coordinator. Working within an established specialist bid team, supporting and collaborating with bid coordinators, bid writers & bid managers on complex large scale bids.
With direction and leadership from our bid leads, you will create, collate and review content, and coordinate a range of bid documentation; and with guidance from your manager, take on new challenges that will support your growth and development in the role.
Key responsibilities include:- Preparing standard company information and managing the quality aspects of pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and tender submissions for a diverse global client base.
- Collating, coordinating, writing, and reviewing content from multiple contributors to ensure timely and compliant tender submissions, aligned with Gleeds’ global pursuit bid process.
- Writing and coordinating bid content to ensure the highest standards.
- Contributing to developing client ‘offers’ that differentiate Gleeds and align with evolving market needs.
You will be responsible for:- Supporting the drafting of content tailored to the sector and client needs, ensuring clear answers that portray the company in the best possible light.
- Interviewing technical team members to gain a sufficient understanding of a specific topic/project to draft responses.
- Coordinating and managing the bid submission process alongside the Technical Lead and Bid Manager, ensuring alignment with evaluation criteria.
- Navigating client portals to obtain tender information and submitting/retrieving clarifications on behalf of the Technical Lead/teams.
- Timely planning, writing, and completion of allocated bid sections in compliance with tender requirements.
- Producing clear answer templates for technical authors and supporting review processes against client requirements.
- Editing and re-writing responses from technical teams to ensure they are grammatically correct and meet the criteria of an ‘excellent’ response.
- Proofreading submissions for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
- Developing client-focused proposal outlines following RFP guidelines (bid plans) and supporting kick-off meetings and workshops.
- Supporting bid managers and writers in storyboarding workshops to ensure compelling submissions.
- Coordinating and supporting review meetings to ensure documents convey a winning proposition.
- Supporting the creation and management of content and information libraries to aid future submissions.
- Sharing best practices across the Global Pursuit Team and the wider business.
- Helping maintain internal reporting requirements (e.g., bid aftercare, trackers).
- Supporting with knowledge management initiatives, including writing and updating bid content libraries.
- Developing a creative approach to the writing and presentation of bids.
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance bid quality.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance and improve the bid process, ensuring best practices are implemented.
- Supporting the Global Pursuit Team with internal projects and ad-hoc queries, championing the team’s role across the company.
- General administrative duties, including traveling to other offices to support bid submissions when needed.

Who we’re looking forExperience, Knowledge and Key Skills:Experience- Graduate level position with a keen interest in writing and bidding;
- Excellent writing skills and understanding of the power of the written word;
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills;
- A passion for delivering written content for bids;
- Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation through the production of bespoke client documentation.
Key Skills- Highly experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Word and PowerPoint formatting skills.
- Skilled in Adobe InDesign (desirable).
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English (mandatory).
- A proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and determined bid professional.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills to create, review, and edit copy in line with company branding and style.
- A team player and effective communicator, able to establish and maintain harmonious and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Able to work on own initiative and deliver work to an exceedingly high standard.
- Able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines in high-pressure situations.
- Possesses strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- Flexible, results-oriented, and keen to take responsibility.
QualificationsDegree (or equivalent level) qualification in a design, marketing or creative writing discipline would be beneficial, though not essential.
