Are you a leader within IT Infrastructure? Do you want to shape the future of Jagex’s Corporate Digital Backbone?

Are you ready to lead the evolution of IT infrastructure at a leader in the gaming industry? As IT Infrastructure Lead, you will be at the helm of Jagex’s Corporate IT ecosystem, driving innovation, resilience, and world-class service delivery.

This is your opportunity to own the strategy, modernize the tech stack, and build a cloud-first, scalable, and secure infrastructure that powers the business. You’ll lead a team of skilled engineers, shaping best-in-class solutions that enhance performance, security, and efficiency across Jagex’s IT landscape.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll translate business needs into cutting-edge IT capabilities, spearhead transformational initiatives, and champion automation, governance, and next-gen security.

Your influence extends beyond internal teams; you’ll orchestrate high-value vendor relationships, drive cost efficiency, and enforce service excellence, ensuring that Jagex stays ahead in a competitive and fast-moving industry. If you thrive in an environment where innovation meets impact, leadership fuels growth, and technology drives business success, this is your chance to make a lasting mark on Jagex’s future.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Infrastructure & Service Management:
  • Own, manage, and optimize Jagex’s Corporate IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Architect and maintain cloud and on-prem environments (Azure, VMware, Windows Server, Linux) with a focus on scalability and resilience.
  • Implement best-in-class identity and access management solutions using Active Directory, Azure AD, and Zero Trust frameworks.
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and self-service capabilities to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Develop robust disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and maximize resilience.
  • Define and track performance metrics to uphold SLAs and service excellence.
  • Cloud & Network Management:
    • Lead and execute IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
    • Define clear project scopes, objectives, risks, and deliverables, collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive success.
    • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
    • Leverage Agile and hybrid methodologies to enhance project efficiency and team performance.
  • Project and Delivery Management:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and status updates.
    • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively, incorporating post-mortem reviews and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Security, Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring robust endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability management.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
    • Partner with Cybersecurity teams to strengthen Zero Trust security, cloud security, and incident response capabilities.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability, and continuous learning.
    • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and career progression pathways to empower team members.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
    • Act as the primary escalation point for critical infrastructure issues and executive support needs.
    • Engage with business stakeholders to align IT infrastructure strategies with company goals and support business transformation initiatives.
    • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
    • Drive adoption of new technologies and lead change management initiatives.
  • Financial Acumen & Budget Management:
    • Manage IT infrastructure budgets, leveraging cost-optimization strategies (FinOps) to enhance efficiency and maximize ROI on cloud and on-premises investments.
    • Track costs, forecast expenditure, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies in collaboration with finance teams and stakeholders.

    What you'll need:

    • Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including cloud, networking, storage, and virtualization.
    • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux administration.
    • Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud-based infrastructure services.
    • Networking expertise, including firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Switches, DNS, DHCP, and Zero Trust security models.
    • Experience leading and developing IT infrastructure teams.
    • ITIL-based service management experience, including incident, problem, and change management.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience in managing vendor relationships and third-party services.
    • Familiarity with cloud-native security (e.g., Azure Security Centre, Defender for Cloud, SIEM solutions).

    What we offer:

    • Private Healthcare, including Dental Plan.
    • Minimum 6% Pension contributions.
    • Employee Assistance Programme & onsite Counselling.
    • Life Insurance.
    • Discretionary annual performance bonus.
    • Enhanced family leave policies from day 1.
    • Flexible working hours.
