Mooseheart Child City and School, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resource Assistant to support our HR operations and help foster a positive, professional environment for our staff and community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values confidentiality, and thrives in a mission-driven organization.
Provide courteous, responsive customer service to staff, applicants, and visitors
Serve as the front desk receptionist for the HR department-greeting guests and answering phones
Maintain organized HR records and filing systems
Assist with onboarding, including collecting pre-employment documentation
Coordinate interviews, campus visits, and special events
Support the HR team with employee data entry and management in the HRIS system
Ensure timely communication of HR-related information across departments
Assist in preparing and maintaining compliance-related documents (e.g., 508-1 forms, DCFS driver list)
Verify past employment according to company and legal guidelines
Process confidential mail and interoffice correspondence
Participate in professional development and training as required
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, youth, and organizational information
Prior experience in an administrative or HR support role preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative HR team
Must pass a required background and Psychological Evaluation.
