Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent HR Assistant to support with a variety of HR-related tasks in a busy department. You will play a key role in delivering day-to-day HR administration and advice. MUST have ENCHANCED DBS and Drive!!

About the role:

  • Provide day-to-day support and advice to leaders and managers in relation to HR queries
  • Draft letters and issue contract paperwork
  • Monitor the HR inbox, supporting the team as needed
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Conduct audits to ensure data is up-to-date and accurate
  • Support the starter and leaver process, including playing a key role in staff induction
  • Manage staff data and payroll submissions
  • Maintain personnel files

You will have:

  • Experience in HR administration (school experience preferred)
  • An understanding of safer recruitment and wider human resource processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues effectively
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
