Job description

This is an exciting newly-created opportunity to elevate your career working for a fast-paced global industry leader, within a diverse and highly collaborative HR team. We are seeking a proactive, meticulous HR Advisor to join us, supporting our operations across the UK and Ireland. This role offers a 50/50 split between Advisory responsibilities and People Services administration, ensuring a well-rounded contribution to our HR function. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing expert advice while ensuring smooth execution of HR administrative processes.

This role is based at our modern, brand-new office in Leicester, Grove Park, 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home. If you're looking for your next challenge and excited by a role which offers variety, with a blend of advisory and administrative work, then apply to today!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

HR Advisory (50%)

  1. Provide timely, accurate and compliant HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures and employment legislation for the UK and Ireland.
  2. Support employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and conflict resolution.
  3. Guide managers through HR processes such as probation reviews, performance appraisals, and employee engagement initiatives.
  4. Assist in the implementation of HR policies and maintain compliance with employment law and company standards.
  5. Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  6. Support change management initiatives, including restructuring, redundancies, and organisational development projects.
  7. Keep up to date with employment law changes and advise on best practices to ensure compliance.

People Services Administration (50%)

  1. Support the People Services team with HR administrative processes, including maintaining accurate employee records, contract administration, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  2. Handle HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and producing reports to support business decision-making.
  3. Administer employee benefits, payroll changes, and HR-related documentation.
  4. Coordinate onboarding administration, offer letters, contracts, and pre-employment checks.
  5. Support HR projects such as system implementations, policy updates, and process improvements.
  6. Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation.
  7. Aid in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy in HR practices.

Who You Are:

If you're an experienced HR Advisor with the ability to run multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills, with a customer focused approach, then we want to hear from you!

For This Role, You Will Need:

  1. Current experience in a HR generalist/advisory role, with up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  2. Excellent advisory and coaching skills, able to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Experience in using HRIS systems and producing HR metrics and reports.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  1. CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or working towards is desirable.
  2. Experience working within a multi-site environment across the UK and Ireland is advantageous.
