Job description

Financial Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure all financial records are accurate and compliant with internal financial governance and controls.
  • Robust governance, effective processes, and efficient administration for setting regulated rents and service charges.
  • Highlight financial risks, propose mitigations, and present models for decision-making.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of qualified and non-qualified accountants.
  • Foster an environment for continuous improvement and high engagement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Deliver a value-add, influential partnering service to key stakeholders.
  • Provide management information, financial support, and advice to stakeholders.
  • Represent finance at Housing Services Committee and other forums.

Financial Reporting and Budgeting:

  • Deliver monthly management accounts, forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations within timeframes.
  • Manage the annual budget cycle, focusing on rent and service charge increases.

Project Support:

  • Provide financial insight and intelligence to support business cases and transformational projects.
