Title - General Manager – Parts Division - Construction Equipment

Location - Woking

Salary (Dependent on Experience) - c.£70K + Bonus + Package

Are you a dynamic leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for aftermarket sales? We’re seeking a General Manager to lead the £15M turnover parts division of a well-established construction equipment manufacturer. This role will oversee a team of 15 professionals, driving growth through a distribution network and direct B2B sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership – Develop and execute a commercial strategy to drive sales and profitability in the parts division.
  2. Sales & Business Growth – Expand revenue streams through distributor partnerships and direct B2B channels.
  3. Operational Excellence – Optimize supply chain, inventory management, and customer service for efficient parts availability.
  4. P&L Ownership – Manage budgets, pricing, and margins to enhance profitability and long-term sustainability.
  5. Team Leadership – Mentor and develop a high-performing team, ensuring strong collaboration across sales, operations, and customer support.
  6. Customer & Market Insight – Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners to stay ahead of market trends.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. Proven leadership experience in a parts, aftermarket, or distribution environment within construction, industrial, or heavy equipment sectors.
  2. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and managing P&L.
  3. Experience managing distributor relationships and direct B2B sales channels.
  4. Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, and logistics in a high-volume parts business.
  5. A hands-on leader with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
