Job Title: Front-End Developer – Public Sector Digital Delivery Team

Location: Edinburgh / Glasgow (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months (Day rate up to £400 PD, Inside IR35)

Salary: Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)

Our Public Sector client is looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to join their Digital Delivery team on a 12-month contract. If you're excited about building modern, user-centric applications and services that meet Usability, Accessibility, and Cyber Security standards, this is the role for you!

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will be part of an agile delivery team working on the development of a new public-facing digital authorisation application, an associated back-office database, and internal systems that power important public services.

What You’ll Do:

1. Work as part of an agile, delivery-focused team, collaborating to develop and implement front-end solutions.
2. Use Angular, NodeJS, Express, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to build front-end applications that meet high usability, accessibility, and security standards.
3. Develop and integrate REST APIs to create seamless communication between services.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a CI/CD environment (using MS DevOps) to ensure rapid and reliable delivery.
5. Guide and mentor team members, sharing your expertise and best practices.
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes in an Agile setting.

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Proficiency in Angular, NodeJS, Express, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
2. Solid experience with REST APIs and integration.
3. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., MS DevOps).
4. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
5. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.
6. Mentorship experience within a development team.
7. Experience working with Azure cloud infrastructure.
8. Familiarity with MS DevOps.
9. Experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos DB).
10. Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-code tools.
