The Manager, Fund Allocations manages the administration of fund related expenses including global Market Data and Research spend of $70m, with responsibility for the appropriate allocation of spend between Man and its funds, oversight of the Bloomberg estate, invoice allocations and timely payment.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of 3 direct reports, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis of all research and data spend and ensuring the integrity of the Market Data inventory with appropriate controls over the month end processes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Working closely with senior stakeholders from different business areas, and having an advisory and collaborative approach to challenges
- Manage three direct reports, providing communication, support, coaching and mentoring to them and to the wider team
- Annual budget and reforecasting processes for Market Data and Research (D&R) spend across firm and fund recharges, delivering accurate submissions and providing robust challenges
- Maintain and enhance a complex operational model for each Investment Manager to allocate D&R and non-D&R spend to funds, with monthly notional allocation changes by partnering with business managers
- Influence Allocation policy and support continuous refinement
- Manage Market Data Management (MDM) tool with responsibility for data structure and integrity, all inputs and reporting
- Responsible for month end processes and integrity of the ledger, including calculation and/or review of accruals and reconciliation
- Presenting and monitoring spend throughout the year and providing commentary to senior stakeholders
- Responsible for the US Soft Dollar payments process and maintaining internal controls
- Responsible for the correct allocation of D&R invoices across fund types and Man spend, ensuring invoices are split and processed via the correct payment method, with appropriate controls and governance
- Oversee firmwide Bloomberg terminals management
- Participate in and create materials for regular internal oversight committees
Your Background:- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Financial services experience essential
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis
- Proficiency in MDM preferred
- Confident in manipulation of large data sets
- Experience of people leadership
- Power BI experience preferred
- Ability to develop partnership relationships with Business and Finance stakeholders at all levels
