Job Title: Farm Manager
Location: Devon
Salary: Up to £34,000 (includes a house)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to ensure the effective and profitable management of our broiler chicken farm. This role involves overseeing operations while adhering to all safety, environmental, and welfare standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain the health and welfare of broiler chickens under Freedom Food or Red Tractor contracts.
2. Manage feed, water, and the Hotraco System.
3. Keep accurate and tidy daily records.
4. Order feed and consumables in a timely, cost-effective manner.
5. Oversee chicken catching and contract cleaners.
6. Take a hands-on approach to maintenance or supervise contractors.
7. Ensure grass cutting and strimming are maintained by the farm assistant.
8. Assist with routine and spot audits.
9. Perform other duties related to the Farm Manager role as required.

Experience Required

1. Previous experience managing broiler chickens is essential.
2. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
3. Experience with farm machinery and basic maintenance is desirable.

Requirements

Must have a driving licence - a vehicle is provided.
