Engineering Technician, Hinckley / Nuneaton, 12-month full time contract role
Excellent opportunity for a Technician to work in an incredibly interesting automotive research, test, and development engineering environment NOT just a garage or service workshop.
Role would suit a qualified BTEC / NVQ or equivalent Level 2 and above Technician. Any experience of working within an automotive / vehicle repair, service, research, development, or test environment would be advantageous.
12-month contract role, 7am – 3pm working pattern Monday to Friday, up to £19.75 per hour (£34,600 annual salary).
This Engineering Technician job will involve:
Preparing vehicles for testing within automotive test facilities / laboratories.
Installing and preparing test rigs.
Fitting instrumentation to vehicles and removing following the completion of tests.
Checking instrumentation and test equipment after tests.
Setting up data acquisition, and high-speed digital camera equipment.
Working with and supporting Engineers during tests.
This Engineering Technician job will suit:
An Engineering Technician or Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician or Workshop Technician or experience or working within a similar engineering technician role.
You will need to be qualified to a BTEC / NVQ or equivalent Level 2 standard in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or motor vehicle engineering.
A Technician with a mechanical background. Further experience of electrical / electronic systems would be beneficial.
Have care and pride in your work – you will be working with high value test equipment and vehicles.
