Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager

Location: near Camberley, Surrey

Salary: £50,000 to £70,000

Located near Camberley, our client is a successful precision engineering company that is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager to join their team. You would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the engineering design office and the manufacturing engineering team. This role ensures the smooth integration between design and production processes, ensuring high standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with hands-on experience managing design, manufacturing, and production processes. This is a permanent full-time role, 100% in-house, so the successful candidate must live within a commutable distance of Camberley. Salary is from £50,000 to £70,000 with excellent benefits.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in production or mechanical engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace / precision engineering sector is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams in an engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles and production processes.
  • Experience with CAD software (Hypermill, Catia, EdgeCam).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
