Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: Up to 45,000

Location: Northeast

About the Position

H & B Recruitment are working with a well-known client who is Northeast based looking for a Design Engineer with Electrical experience and 3 years in the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and validation of electrical panels and control systems for purifiers, manifold, and vacuum systems.
• Selection of pressure and temperature sensors and switches.
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of existing products with electrical control systems.
• Participation in projects when required, providing competent engineering support on electrical matters.
• Production and maintenance of technical documentation, including CAD drawings, BOM, technical files, design calculations, technical specifications, test data, etc.
• Continuous interrogation of product and components to identify and implement cost savings.
• Ensuring product approvals and compliance with all mandatory legislation, such as EMC and low voltage safety.

Professional Requirements

• Relevant bachelor's degree (with an Electrical bias).
• At least 3 years in a similar engineering design role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong abilities in detail design and problem-solving techniques.
• Strong CAD background and ability to populate circuit diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Proficient MS Office user (particularly Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Experienced in technical report writing, such as technical specifications and verification reports.
• Ability to communicate and deliver technical information at all levels, both internally and supplier-facing.
