Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join our growing team. This is an ideal role for a quality driven professional with excellent communications and client management skills, looking to work on large, impactful projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the EHS field, working on large, complex projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for, among other things:

  • Ensure awareness among project managers with regard to the subject of Safety.
  • This is a site based project role.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor the project EHS plan.
  • Lead safety meetings with Client & Trades.
  • Supervise client's project EHS oversight resources, including outsourced EHS competent persons.
  • Assessment and approval of contractor safety plans.
  • Review and comment on High Risk Activities.
  • Champion safety initiatives and support the Clients' safety campaigns.
  • Apply lessons learnt and best practice.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Provide safety support & guidance.
  • Ensure the Clients' safety requirements and local codes are met.
  • Ensure synergy with the 'Safety Programme' led by Turner & Townsend.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in EHS lead management positions.
  • Demonstrable experience in working on large scale, complex projects.
  • Practiced in project control mechanisms and technical risk assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to visualize issues and communicate them effectively.
  • Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors.
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and comfortable with being client-facing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment.
