Join our Quality Team as an EHS Manager and lead the charge in managing and developing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) functions at Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services. You’ll ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and key regulations like COMAH, all while driving safety and sustainability. Be a key player in fostering a safe and compliant work environment!


Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards using the LHT Management System Pro X
  • Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulations, identifying areas for improvement
  • Manage COMAH compliance, including compiling and submitting the Safety Report to the HSE
  • Ensure compliance with additional regulations like REACH, engaging with relevant agencies
  • Provide EHS expertise in risk assessments, training, and project consultations
  • Oversee and maintain EHS procedures within the Integrated Management System
  • Act as the main contact for regulatory bodies, industry groups, and stakeholders
  • Investigate EHS incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Develop and track EHS KPIs to align with business goals
  • Lead and support the employee EHS committee and encourage engagement in safety programs
  • Participate in LHT EHS community efforts and global EHS initiatives
  • Communicate key EHS information between LHT leadership and LTLGS management

Requirements

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • CMIOSH preferred, but CertIOSH with relevant experience will be considered
  • Auditing qualification in ISO 14001 or 45001 preferred
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and 14001 systems, ideally in the aviation MRO sector
  • Knowledge of COMAH regulations and experience with safety management systems for hazardous sites, including safety report preparation and liaising with authorities
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to execute EHS initiatives on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire teams, drive change, and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Willingness to travel as needed for meetings, training, and industry events
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
