Job description

Location: Newbury + *Hybrid Working
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri
Duration: 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

What you’ll do

As the Data Solution Architect within the UK Data & Analytics team, you will be working on a large change programme and will be responsible for overseeing the design of existing & new capabilities, overseeing technical aspects, ensuring that our data products are developed to the highest standards and meet the needs of our customers. You will also:

  1. Be the point of contact into Vodafone Digital & IT and ensure designs, delivery and development plans align and adhere to Vodafone UK Data Strategy.
  2. Oversee the design of existing and new data capabilities, review IT designs, and identify impacts on the Data & Analytics products.
  3. Represent Data & Analytics in business and technical forums and provide technical support to the wider team, highlighting risks and dependencies.
  4. Be the Technical Programme point of contact into the Vodafone Digital & IT teams on all Programme activities and build relationships across IT domains and the wider business.
  5. Translate best practice architecture and design into data engineering practice.

Who you are

  1. Experience with multiple vendors on-premises and cloud data warehouse solutions, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience - Essential.
  2. Proven track record of data architecture and design - Essential.
  3. Strong stakeholder management including experience presenting at senior or executive level - Essential.
  4. Proven experience in managing and influencing technical outcomes - Essential.
  5. Understanding of Agile & Scrum principles.
  6. Data engineering experience, including visualisation tooling.
