Lead Digital Engineer (BIM)

Location: Birmingham

A Lead Digital Engineer can take responsibility to manage defined tasks, working in compliance with procedures and processes. This role involves tasks spanning across all projects and opportunities from pre-project, early engagement, and work winning through to detailed delivery. Deploying the right skills and adopting a dynamic working and learning environment, this role supports the delivery of the Digital Engineering offering for our projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the setup and implementation of Digital Engineering on projects by applying appropriate influence, input, process, and protocols at bid, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover, operation, and maintenance.
2. Drive the development of LOR staff to deliver Digital Engineering in line with their discipline-specific responsibilities, through upskilling, training, workshops, and regular communications utilizing key project relationships.
3. Influence and lead the development of project-specific solutions to deliver in accordance with our Digital Engineering offering.
4. Lead towards the authoring and development of the 3D model, having full and up-to-date knowledge of all project information and documentation and having agreed level of detail with the project team.
5. Line manage Senior Digital Engineer, Digital Engineer, or Assistant Digital Engineer depending on project size.

Technical Skills:

1. Knowledge of industry information standards such as BS1192, ISO19650, or similar.
2. Model and data management.
3. Digital Strategies.
4. Model federation and management.
5. Model review and analysis.
6. Experience in Revit.
7. Desirable experience of Navisworks.
