Job Description

Are you a data-driven leader with a passion for digital transformation? We’re looking for a Lead Data & Digital Engineer to shape our data strategy, oversee ERP data migration, and drive innovation through cutting-edge technologies like AI, machine learning, and automation.

Your missions:
  1. Lead & Inspire – Manage and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  2. Data Architecture & Engineering – Design and implement scalable, efficient data pipelines and architectures, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  3. Digital Transformation – Lead the adoption of AI, machine learning, IoT, and automation to optimise business operations and enhance decision-making.
  4. ERP Data Migration – Work closely with data domain owners to identify, extract, and migrate data as part of an ERP system deployment.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and product managers to align data solutions with company goals.
  6. Data Governance & Compliance – Implement best practices for data quality, security, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:

  1. Proven leadership experience in data engineering or digital transformation, managing technical teams.
  2. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).
  3. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  4. Experience with ETL, API development, and real-time data processing.
  5. ERP & Data Migration experience, with knowledge of SAP & Excel-based data models being a plus.
  6. Understanding of machine learning, AI, data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau, Looker), and DevOps practices.
Additional Information

Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC clearance. Will be required to be on site in Derby 3-4 days per week.
