Head of Commercial - (UK Grocery Channel)
Introduction:
Henderson Brown is delighted to announce a partnership with a renowned Fresh Produce business looking to appoint their newest member of the UK SLT. Our client has a legacy of providing the highest service levels coupled with outstanding product quality to an array of customers internationally. This UK focused role will predominantly draw on individuals who have experience operating in the UK Grocery Channel.
Overview:
This role is going to be challenging as they are an extremely professional operation with strong supply routes internationally and specifically in Europe. The individual will need to be a first-rate commercial leader with the ability to push in the UK market where they are looking to grow. They are being quite specific in whom they are looking for; first-class commercial management skills are taken as read, but someone who understands Fresh Produce from an international perspective. They want enthusiasm and someone who can deal with day-to-day commercial issues with existing customers and spot other opportunities with new customers to develop the strategy to engage with these further.
Person Spec:
We are looking for someone who can maintain the current business objectives, set the sales growth strategy on a 3-5 year plan, identify new opportunities, and generate new leads focused on regional, national, and international accounts. The incoming incumbent must understand and appreciate the speed at which this business operates; therefore, they will need to be comfortable with a short shelf-life portfolio, operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging business.
The successful candidates will hold themselves to the values that underpin the business and can both integrate and add value to the team. They will lead change and be a figurehead that defines success for those individuals reporting to the SLT. This individual will need to support internal working relationships, demonstrating a passion and the ability to motivate a sales team, analyse the PDP's, and set clear objectives and challenging targets for their future growth.
