Job description

About the Role:

This Senior Planning Manager role is an exciting position that will be at the core of setting the media planning agenda for one for the world’s most staple brands, Philips. As part of a growing team, the Sr. Planning Manager will be part of the Global Philips Strategy Team at OMD EMEA that will provide exposure, growth, as well as opportunities to be in the spotlight with senior stakeholders from both OMD EMEA and Philips. As an extension of this role, you will have ample opportunity to widen your horizon by collaborating with Philips’ marcoms and business teams, and their partner agencies.

We will look to you to be a core member of a team that influences how Philips shows up to consumers in media, ensuring media plays a vital role in the growth of Philips’ business. Your media planning expertise will be heavily leaned on by key members across the business.

Not only will you be part of a thriving Strategy Team for Philips globally, but you will also be part of a wider Strategy and Planning community at OMD EMEA that will provide further opportunities for training, exposure, and a community to lean on. In other words, you will quickly find yourself being inspired, growing, and contributing to the business of Philips and OMD EMEA.

As the Senior Planning Manager, you will:

  • Work with global, regional, and key local teams to ensure media best practices and guidelines are understood and actively utilized, whilst allowing for local nuances to shine through in media plans.
  • Lead the tracking and recording of regional/local plans’ adherence to global strategies and guidelines.
  • Review and provide feedback on quarterly and annual plans from regions across Philips’ categories.
  • Digest plans across regions and markets by identifying patterns, similarities, and differences to provide succinct insights for the global and regional teams.
  • Present these findings to senior stakeholders across the OMD and Philips team.
  • Play a key role in connecting global and regional strategies with planning and activation realities.
  • Be an advocate for global media planning fundamentals and guidelines whilst championing local nuances for best-in-class media performance.
  • Develop clear and scalable planning guidelines and frameworks by working with Philips clients, media partners, and other Omnicom discipline teams.

About the Agency:

At OMD EMEA, we strive to deliver on our promise of ‘better decisions, faster‘ for our clients, partners, and all 6,000+ OMDers across our region every day. As part of the world’s largest media network, our business is staging experiences for consumers who have more choice and less attention than ever before. The key to the process is empathy: empathy to see the world through the eyes of the consumer, to recognize the needs of our clients, and to identify the aspirations of our talent.

Learn Fast, Act Fast. To help navigate the road to a ‘new normal’, learning from, and acting upon data signals at scale and speed is crucial. Visit Why OMD? to learn more about our unique Act Fast Framework.

Working Pattern: Our working pattern for colleagues is to be present in the office three days a week at our offices in London, with the other days available to work remotely. Let us know if you have any questions about our working pattern as part of your application and interview process.
