Job description

Are you a Benefits Assessment Officer looking for work in Northamptonshire or remotely from home?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Northamptonshire is looking to recruit a Benefits Assessment Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer full time home working.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing system
  2. Assess all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support/Reduction claims for all tenure types
  3. Process new claims and changes in circumstances
  4. Assess student claims, persons from abroad, and self-employed claims
  5. Deal with Universal Credit cases and UCDS
  6. Assist with backlog clearance
  7. Deal with ATLAS
  8. Liaise with external organisations including Landlords, Employers and the Department for Work and Pensions
  9. Advise claimants on Benefit entitlements and legislation changes
  10. Handle inbound customer queries
