Fantastic business partnering role, working with a progressive FD to document and improve costing processes in a fast-paced manufacturing business.

Client Details:

£200m t/o, privately owned, multi-site manufacturing business based North of Derby, commutable from South Yorkshire and Nottingham.

Description:

Plant Controller / FBP role to include understanding and documenting year-end, month-end, and weekly standard costing procedures, with the opportunity to grow and to add additional business partnering services to the group.

1. Update standard costs in the bill of materials.
2. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
3. Understand job variances, PPV's, and production recoveries.
4. Validate the cost of goods sold as part of month-end close.
5. Revise/review and provision obsolete inventory as needed.
6. Report on periodic variances and their causes, and where applicable, drivers i.e., split between price, volume, and mix.
7. Be the conduit between Finance and Operations to bring the monthly numbers to life and add operational value.

Profile:

You will be a qualified or QBE Finance Manager with a deep understanding of manufacturing accounting, standard costing, and considerable exposure to ERP systems.

Job Offer:

£65-70k, with bonus, benefits, and progression.
