Job description

Team Leader - Bedlington

Lifways are looking for a Team Leader who will inspire a culture of workforce development through induction, probation, and supervision within the team and oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of care plans within the service.

Bayberry Close is a modern semi-detached house where people are welcomed and supported to live independent lives. The house is wheelchair accessible and has four bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and a large, shared bathroom. Outside there’s a lovely accessible garden for spending time outdoors when the weather is good.

If you believe that people have a right to choose how to run their own lives, then we would like to hear from you.

You will be overseeing the support of Service Users who have Autism, mental health problems, learning disabilities, and behavior that may challenge.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience of working with these client groups is essential; particular experience of working with Service Users with mental health would be an advantage.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care or the will to work towards the qualification or a minimum of 2 years learning disability sector experience is essential.

We believe that all our staff team are fantastic and we wouldn't be able to achieve what we do without them. Here are just some of the ways we would value and invest in you:

  • 28 days holiday pro rata.
  • Amazing Induction leading to a recognised qualification.
  • Access to award-winning training and development.
  • Pension contributions into NEST Scheme on a salary sacrifice basis meaning NI savings.
  • Tax-free childcare vouchers via salary sacrifice scheme for working parents.
  • Cycle to work scheme when you have been with us for 6 months.
  • Discounts and cashback at high street shops including major supermarkets, cinemas, gyms, leisure/theme parks, holidays, and much more via Lifeways Rewards.
  • Opportunity to purchase a health cash plan to claim towards dental, glasses, therapy, etc.
  • Free access to round-the-clock employee assistance program for advice and support.
  • Recommend a Friend Incentive.
  • Award scheme and incentive recognition via My Lifeways.

All applications will be subject to DBS checks and references. All our staff are very important to us and are an essential part of our service. If you have previously worked within a similar environment or if you believe you have the skills to complement our service, we would love to hear from you.
